Uverse Gateway resets

Uverse Gateway resets multiple times per day.  This causes my VPN to reset, disrupting work.

I replaced the Belkin battery in the UPS device since it indicated red, but now green, gateway seems to reset 4-6 times per day at random.

I tried the Fix tool behind att.com and it fails in both IE and Firefox.  What is my next step?

Hi There @DPSkiman999.

We understand that your router is resetting a lot during the day.  We can help with that.

Some causes for a router reboot, is where it is being plugged in at. If can answer the following questions for us:

  1. Is the router plugged into a surge protector?
  2. If so, if there is an open wall out that you can plug into
  3. Does the router feel abnormally hot to the touch?

Please answer those questions to the best of your ability and let us know.

Thank you for being an AT&T Subscriber.

I've tried plugging the Belkin UPS into both the wall outlet and a surge strip..Problem remains the same on both.

I have also disabled IPv6 on the LAN side. Unit is somewhat warm, but no more than expected;

What was the reply, other than a generic reply? I don't see any guidance on the next thing to try.
