Utility pole line HELP

We have several lines/cables coming from utility poles in yard.  One of them is low hanging, interfering with trees we would like to remove..  It is also too low in general.  I called the cable company and they said it is not theirs as is too thin and they mostly bury their cables.  After much time on hold and not finding the option needed to get through, I spoke with an at&t rep who assigned a tech to visit the next morning.  He assured me I did not need to be at home and all would be taken care of.  Well, of course I returned home and nothing had been done. The message I received on my home phone from the tech told me he was on his way to look at our internet problem.  There is NO internet problem (other than me looking at another company to provide at this point!) I received an email from the tech with absolutely no information as to what he found or did. Spent another 40 minutes on the phone that evening with another rep who told me it had been taken care of! I explained to her that it had not.(She was great and heard my frustration)  I really just want to make sure that:  the cable IS an at&t cable (how do I know?) and want it raised.  I now have to be home on Friday morning, taking off work to be here to make sure this is done. I am frustrated by the lack of communication and the difficulty in trying to get to an option on the original call to who I needed to speak with. My father worked for Ill Bell for 40 years as a lineman and engineer and he is horrified by what this company has become.  Help please.

Hello @kahailman,

I understand how frustrating that can, so let's point you to the right direction on what to do.
You can report exposed or down wires by contacting us at 800-924-9420, for further assistance on what can be done.
Hope this helps!

Why isn't this number available on your website? And it is not an option
in the automated system. This would help immensely. The tech who came
assumed I had a problem with the internet and did nothing with the line,
even though it was thoroughly explained in my original call. This seems
like a waste of my time and the service techs time.

I need to speak with someone about an AT&T utility pole that is on my property.  The pole is leaning a little.  I have a contractor rebuildin a retaining wall that is close to the leaning utility pole and there are concerns about digging dirt out clost to the utility pole without AT&T looking at the pole first.

Both myself as well as the city have reported one of your poles that is severely cracked in the middle as well as leaning and reports go totally ignored. I sincerely hope that they are prepared to take responsibility for property or human injuries or loss of life beings that they have been put on notice several times.

You should open your own topic and post pictures.  Is there power on this pole or just phone cable?  Is the pole an end point or does the cable keep going both ways?

If there’s power on it then it’s owned by the power company

There is a leaning telephone pole in my yard.  It has an Energy transformer in it, Energy said AT&T needs to be contacted.

I am afraid the pole may fall and cause a fire, since there is a drought.

@Tmatherne

please call 800-288-2020 to schedule a tech appointment for pole inspection.

The tech will check if the pole is damaged.

A standard 40 feet pole is buried around 6 feet deep.

The tech may create a work order to have pole replaced if damaged or possible just have GUY WIRE(s) added to counter the lean.
