upload speed
My test of home wifi shows zero upload speed for my gateway. i also got a message about problem on my system but when i clicked for more, it hung up with no response. i may have gotten message while on vacation about problem detected on home wifi and offering a service visit. but the internet, after restarting gateway last night, seems to be working for normal usage.

Try using the Att smart home manager app and see what it tells you about speeds.

That's where it says my download on gateway is 12 but upload is zero

What gateway equipment do you have?
What speed tier subscribed to?
Have you factory reset the gateway or just reboot the gateway?

12 down and 0 up at the gateway, right? Call Att and ask them to do a line quality test. Let us know what they say.

Well, if you have an issue with the circuit to the gateway, more speed won't fix a line quality problem. I'd confirm things are copasetic with your service just to safe. And fair warning I'm seeing more reports of getting original style DSL worked on as Att is apparently migrating customers off the old product onto other technologies.
