Unable to Install AT T Internet Security Suite
Hi,
I am unable to install the ATT Internet Security suite (aka McAfee Antivirus suite). Following are the details.
1. I have a windows 10 computer, which had a previous version of McAfee (also through ATT internet and expired). I uninstalled it using instructions on the KB article page (uninstalled from Control Panel, used pre-install tool and MCPR tool).
2. Navigated to "Download AT&T Internet Security Suite powered by McAfee" page
3. Took me through the login page and eventually to the download link page
4. Upon clicking "Download Security Suite" it takes me to generic McAfee landing page with "Buy" options (no prompt for downloads).
5. Verified that we qualify for the free version and compatibility
- 25+ Mbps Internet Plan
- Computer has 8GB RAM
- Updated to latest security patches for Windows 10
Tried many 6+ times with slight variations and no luck!

While there's no guarantee that this theory will work, it's by far the most notable step forward in this saga.
Appreciate your sleuthing and hope what one of the ATT employees can help us guide through this.

Oh I forgot to add...I brought the information from my previous comment to the attention of customer service via Twitter. I told the customer service agent I was chatting with that I knew this wasn't something she would be familiar with and to just please let her manager know and to let their IT department know. I eventually got a dismissive reply telling me for the umpteenth time to contact McAfee. Of course we all know this would be a futile exercise. It's funny. For a multi-national conglomerate that has COMMUNICATION as its core business, their employees are embarrassingly incapable of effectively communicating. It's so hopeless trying to penetrate the wall that shields the organ located behind what I imagine to be "dull cow eyes." I hate to even try.

I have found another way to escalate the problem to "Executive Support": https://investors.att.com/resources/contacts#customer-service
Please do fill out this form (I have and more people that will do so will likely help escalate this situation).
Let's post here, if anyone get's a response or able to resolve this!

Ok. I'll give it a shot. I tried the BBB. Filed 2 online complaints against AT&T. I have a feeling that so many complaints against them are filed, the BBB just ignores them. I know my complaints were ignored.

My question is: We are ATT customers and this is a functionality provided by ATT. If that is broken, I see no reason why we/I as ATT-customers need to work with the vendor/3rd party they have partnered with?
I fully expect and hope that ATT will take the responsibility to fix the problems for its customers, especially when it arises from business relationship that ATT enters into.

Funny that you say that. I made the exact same point to them via Twitter customer service on 7/10/21.

Yes, this is a shared sentiment - it is on ATT to fix this with whomsoever they decided to contract with!

I've been working with seniors for over the past 10 years. They live in an area in which they can only get AT&T internet service. I try to set them up with AT&T Internet Security Suite since it's free with their subscription. Once in a blue moon I'll get lucky and the AT&T Internet Security Suite download link will actually work but 99.9% of the time it doesn't.
Whenever I do the following steps, I get no where....
-Login to att.com
-Go to the AT&T Support page to "Install AT&T Internet Security Suite"
-Click on "Get It", then click on "English Download"
-It takes me directly to the mcafee.com and there's no where to download the "AT&T Internet Security Suite".
In the past, I've done the same steps as above but after I clicked on "Get It", I would have to login again on a white screen and then I would see a page with the Security Key and the download link to begin downloading the AT&T Internet Security Suite. This has been a CONSTANT issue with AT&T for the past several years. I can't tell you the number of times that I've called AT&T about this same problem, only to be told that it should be fixed in 48 hours...yeah, right!
I have also tried logging in to att.com using 4 different browsers as well but they all come up with the exact same problem. Has anyone else been experiencing this same problem?
