Unable to Install AT T Internet Security Suite

Hi,

I am unable to install the ATT Internet Security suite (aka McAfee Antivirus suite). Following are the details.

1. I have a windows 10 computer, which had a previous version of McAfee (also through ATT internet and expired). I uninstalled it using instructions on the KB article page (uninstalled from Control Panel, used pre-install tool and MCPR tool).

2. Navigated to "Download AT&T Internet Security Suite powered by McAfee" page

3. Took me through the login page and eventually to the download link page

4. Upon clicking "Download Security Suite" it takes me to generic McAfee landing page with "Buy" options (no prompt for downloads).

5. Verified that we qualify for the free version and compatibility

  • 25+ Mbps Internet Plan
  • Computer has 8GB RAM
  • Updated to latest security patches for Windows 10

Tried many 6+ times with slight variations and no luck!

When I try to download ATT Internet Security it always takes me to McAfee site. I had a long call with ATT Customer care + McAfee Customer care, finally found its ATT that needs to fix. This happened 3 weeks back, yet Zero improvements.

Has anyone with ATT fiber able to download Internet Security?

I tried login via att.net, att.com with att.net account, gmail account.. nothing works. The below URL always takes me to the McAfee site. I've a 300Mbps connection and was able to successfully install Internet security on one of my devices last December.

Tried to update McAfee software. Just installed MacOS 10.15 - Catalina.

Logged into AT&T, clicked on download McAfee - but McAfee site doesn't recognize my userid. I created a new userid on McAfee site (probably shouldn't have done that but...) , but then it doesn't recognize I'm coming from AT&T. I also tried the  att.net userid - that didn't work either.

Get in a very long line of users with same issue. Many tickets open and escalated. AT&T says working on. Resolution date/time unknown.

thanks for the response. I think this is somewhat different as McAfee didn't recognize I'm coming from AT&T. But ya, lots of frustrated users.

That is the problem. McAfee doesn't recognize any of us coming from AT&T and throws up the pay us wall.

I sign into att.com effortlessly however, when I select "Get It" and it takes me to select either the "English or Spanish Download", upon my selection of "English download", it takes me to the McAfee website to pick a plan and PAY. Is this true?  I thought this was provided by ATT! Do I really have to pay? I have been trying to get the download ever since installation and have been truly disappointed at how hard it's been. I now know that your site doesn't work in Chrome or Internet Explorer. So, Firefox and/or Edge have proven successful but I still can't download from your link.

Do I really have to pay McAfee for this? Really? I wasn't told this by your representatives. I was told to select "Get it", "English", and follow the prompts. I'm not getting any prompts...only the prompt to PAY again.

Hello,

I am having an issue downloading the antivirus from McAfee, it directs me to their site to purchase it, even though it's included in the one gig internet package. I have tried multiple different browsers and computers and still, nothing works. I would just like to get the anti-virus up and running asap.

I'm trying to install the mcafee antivirus software and every time I click the link to download it takes me to the Mcafee webpage asking me to buy the software. No software starts to download.  NO option for free Suite download for AT&T customers.

Is there a solution to this problem? I see one of the responses is already accepted as a solution but yet we see the problem.

@ATTTimCS Please help with an update. Thanks!

So far I have been a month that I keep having issues downloading McAfee. I contacted AT&T support who then forwarded me to McAfee tech supposed. McAfee said it was a known issue that they are trying to resolve.  AT&T/McAfee are putting users at risk by not providing access to security software, something that is supposed to be part of our plan.  When is this going to be fixed???
