transmit receive irregularity

I've been investigating a recent bandwidth overage (1TB limit). I stumbled across some stats I can hardly believe. Some how the kid managed to upload 20gigs just playing games on his xbox for 4 hours. Transmit is much higher than receive across the board though. Can someone explain this?

that would be a question for microsoft or the game developer. gaming tends to eat up data quickly especially for instannce fortnight

gamers report using anywhere between 45 and 100 MB per hour playing Fortnite.

lets not forget the updates, my sonn has a game that updates everytime he turns it on and it takes hours for the update so he does the update while hes at work.

There is some helpful information here, maybe fortnight is causing trouble but I should clarify. The figures that are very suspicious are the upload bandwidth used. I dont even know how its possible to upload 5 gigs an hour. I can identify his bandwidth because he's the only one that uses 5ghz channel. The thing is, this is effecting all the devices on my network, as shown in the image.
