terrible internet connection

Ive been calling att since I got the fixed wireless service since that is the only option where i live and since they no longer offer DSL. The only thing they seem to do is compensate with money, I dont care about the money i just need a decent internet service so i can finish school work and game. The internet is so bad i lag out of games, my school work wont load and im having to rely on a Tmobile hot spot to do everything else. I'm almost to the point of canceling att and switching over to the T-mobile hotspot since it is the only thing that will load my school work. Why are you like this att? worst service ive ever had!!!!

Hi there, @Mcteer98. We understand that you have some concerns with your Fixed Wireless internet connection. We most certainly can help you with that.

The first thing we need to do is, check to see if there are any problems with your service. You can run our Troubleshoot and Resolve tool online. Using our Troubleshoot and Resolve tool, just click on,  "Fix My Internet", and then click on the blue "Sign in to get started", for a more personalized experience.

After running that, the next thing is that you need to check the outside antenna to make sure that it is secure and not loose or broken in any way.

If the antenna looks ok, then we need to go through and reboot the inside equipment. If you have an AT&T gateway, look on the back and find the red button. Press and hold that button for 10 seconds, or you can just unplug it.

Once that is done, then you will run a speed test. Just click on the blue "Start speed test". To understand the speeds you are supposed to be getting, please use our Understanding Fixed Wireless Speeds support article for more information. Just a tip, pay close attention to the "Factors impacting Internet Speed" portion of the article. That may also give a clue on what may be causing the service concerns.

After all that, and you are still experiencing concerns with your internet service, please accept this invitation to return here and there is much more that we can do for you.

Thank you so much for being a valued AT&T customer.

Everything you have said has already been done, Im not dumb when it comes to technology. I have to literally run 1 device at a time to be able to pull up a webpage. Also I have already ran a speed test and my upload speed doesn't even reach 1mbps and the speed is under 5mbps. So "ATT COMUNITY SPEACIALIST" what else would you recommend? If you also want to get technical the att signal strength for my outside antena is literally 1 bar. So I'll be waiting on some more brilliant ideas from you MR.Genuis

@Mcteer98 Being rude and sarcastic is not the best way to get help here. No ISP can be expected to offer 100% coverage in 100% of locations. If the T-Mobile signal is better than the AT&T signal at your location then why not just change to T-Mobile?
