Renew IP address on NVG 589

I (and at least two coworkers with Uverse) cannot access my work (a CT public school) servers from home (cannot access work email, a hosted site that's a SMS, or remote desktop). I suspect my public IP is being blocked somewhere along the line. One thing I've found is that my IP is listed on the blacklist. I originally guessed I had a DNS problem and switched to Google DNS which didn't help.


I want to try switching my public IP in the hopes of being assigned an IP that is in a different (c block) range.  I had ATT send me a different gateway but the IP address was very similar to the old one.  ATT tells me I can reset my IP by unplugging gateway for 10 seconds.  Lol.  I plugged the old one back in after 2 days of being off with the battery removed and still got the same IP address back.  Is there a way to change my public IP?  I understand that it's a dynamic IP but I'm finding it to be very static.  I've tried working with ATT reps but the 3 people I've talked with seemed clueless and just wasted LOTS of my time.
