They are Ethernet sockets.
If you have other devices that need to be connected to the internet that cant be done using wifi then you connect them to one of these sockets using an Ethernet cable.
This could be your DVR (if you have Uverse TV), a smart TV, etc.
As Aviewer said if one of the yellow sockets is connected to a switch that has multiple ports then be aware what devices are connected to the same switch.

@goose16 - Connect either TVs or internet acces devices, such as computers, but not both to thge same one (via switch) because it may flood the switch.
