NVG599 modem randomly does a full reboot 1-3 times a day.

I have gigabit service from ATT uverse and the Modem/router equipment they supplied is the arris NVG599.

Every single day the modem will reboot itself completely 1-3 times, and that's just the times I am actively on the internet and able to notice it.

I am at work so i cant supply a log at tbe moment. I am fed up with this equipment ATT forces you to rent when there are so much better options available to consumers.

Does anyone have this issue? About to buy a nighthawk to bypass this crap

You still need to use the ATT gateway/router but you can cascade another router behind the ATT for your own network.

As for the reboots I would call ATT tech support and have them check your line (remotely).  Maybe you have a flaky gateway so they will probably want to send you a replacement.

FWIW, I have a 599 and have no problems.

I am having this problem also.

Sometimes all of the lights are on and there is no internet or phone. It's all locked up. When that happens I have to pull the power and battery and reset it that way.

What are my options?

Given the age of these boxes, maybe it's time to call 800-288-2020 and request a replacement.

We're understanding that you're having trouble with your internet connection Mike336L, were here to help.

Is your internet router plug into a wall socket in not a surge protector? if is not plugged into wall socket we suggest doing so, because that can interfere with your connection.

Please let us know if that helps.
