NVG589 Firmware Update 9.2.2h0d88 broke my connection

Ever since my router NVG589 updated to firmware update 9.2.2h0d88, my connection has become unstable. I have run tests with my ping. I often had a jump between 55ms to 1000ms in a span of a minute. Then, it would go back to the normal 55ms for about an hour before it started jumping to 1000ms. For the entire day, I had to troubleshoot the latency issues. I've tried setting my DNS route to 8.8,8,8 / 8.8.4.4 and it did not make a difference. I also disabled IPV6 too and nothing happened. I tried countless times to restart the router to see if anything changed. Nothing changed. What can I do to fix this problem?
