No Broadband Service for three days at Christmas
A winter storm blew through most of the midwest two days before Christmas. Our broadband internet service was out the morning after the storm. After about a day and a half, we called and were told there are some outages in Ohio. No resolution. No other information. We’ve done all the traditional troubleshooting with the modem and green broadband line and filter resets.
Now going on three days - Christmas Day - and there is still no internet service. We’re trying to figure out if there is still an outage in our zip code, or if it’s a deeper problem within the interface that meets the house. Is there anyone who can provide some potential trouble shooting other than, “there’s an outage in your zip code?”

Thanks Spoom. No outage reported anymore, but still a solid red broadband light after resetting the BGW210.

If running through the trouble shooting steps doesn't fix it you'll need to report it.

Hello filmgr8ts. We would like to extend our hand into helping you get reconnected to your service.
First, we would like to thank our ACE spoom2 for providing a link to the outage checker.
Normally resetting your modem by pressing the red button in the back for 10 seconds gets you back in service.
Note: Be sure to jot down your custom settings, like your static IP address if you have one, or your Wi-Fi® network name (SSID). You can then change them back after the factory reset.
When that does not help, use our Internet Support Tool. It runs the same scans our internal teams do and can even schedule a tech for you.
So that we can take a look from our end, we'll need to speak privately. Check the Direct Message inbox in the top right corner of your screen. We'll be sending you a DM shortly.
We look foward to connecting with you soon.

It certainly wasn’t any of the repeated troubleshooting tips offered online. Must have taken them that long to restore it. This entire district was out of ATT services. Some with no phone, TV, or internet the entire weekend. It was a Christmas miracle a few days in the making.

No one said it was because of individual troubleshooting. They certainly did/are doing a lousy job of communicating what the issue is/was. The Soutwest of Internet service.

We are facing a similar situation. We had a tornado blow through on January 12th. We lost power, cell service and internet. Power and internet came back on the night of the 13th and we had power and internet all day on the 14th. Then on the 15th, the internet went back out and it’s been out ever since. They keep saying there is an outage in the area, but no one has seen AT&T trucks out, nothing is being repaired or worked on. Lots of us have reported it to the utility commission and have had the President’s office call, but then nothing. We buy our internet from DSL Extreme, who I love, but this time, they can’t do anything because they are just a re-seller of AT&T. So they don’t actually work on the lines or anything. So I can’t even call AT&T and complain as I don’t have an AT&T account. It’s so frustrating!! No internet is hard, especially when I work from home. But it’s just like they’ve written us off out here. We have FEMA on the ground, all other utilities have been great. We had cell towers down that have been replaced. But AT&T can’t get out here and fix the lines! If we had choices, we wouldn’t have this sorry service. And what’s worse, it’s just the lousy 6mg DSL when everyone else is on fiber. But they won’t run it down our road.
