New DSL Customer - DSL Kit
Hi, I ordered the AT&T DSL a couple days ago, so it is not activated yet. I have purchased my own modem and was wondering about this DSL Kit they are supposedly sending. I talked with customer service before I ordered DSL and they mentioned the kit, but when I called back to actually order DSL, the person did not mention a kit at all. So, is there a kit sent even if you've purchased your own modem? I have read the kit comes with DSL filters as well. Is this correct?

Unless you specifically told them not to send the self install kit, they will more than likely send it.
The kit should contain a modem, some filters, an ethernet cable, a phone cable, and probably a CD and some basic printed instructions for connecting the hardware. The CD should contain more elaborate instructions, an auto installation utility, and a bunch of extra AT&T software.
