Need to change PW on 2nd ATT extender wifi, but it doesn't show up in SmartHome app

I have two WIFI systems, the main one and an extender installed by ATT.  Both are visible as available WIFI.  Both have worked fine for years.  Today, when trying to log into the extender, the error wrong password popped up.  The PW had not been changed.  As a result, this wifi is unavailable.   When I went to the SmartHome app to change the wifi name, this extender wifi doesn't appear.   How can I reset the PW of the extender wifi, so that we can access it again.    We use this for a zoom classroom, so we really need to have it back on line.  Thanks.

Hey, @AEWhittle. We'd be glad to help with changing your Wi-Fi network information.

  • Is this an AT&T Smart Wi-Fi extender, or a 3rd party one?

  • If it's ours, it shouldn't show up as it's own network, it would mesh into your 2 current Wi-Fi networks, and you'd instead Change the Wi-Fi Network Information using the Smart Home Manager or Gateway Interface, both explained in this article.

  • If it's not appearing in the list of devices on the Smart Home Manager, you may need to Reboot your Gateway.

If it is a 3rd party extender, you will need to get support from the manufacturer on how to change its network info.

Let us know if this helps!
