My LG TV is not connecting to WiFi

Connecting your LG TV to your WiFi

 

  1. Press the SMART button to access the Smart Home Menu.
  2. Select Settings and press OK.

  3. Select NETWORK > Network Connection.

  4. Select Start Connection.
    Start Connection.png
    The device automatically tries to connect to the network available.
  5. Choose the network you wish to use.

  6. Enter your wireless network key.
    Network Key.png
  7. Select Complete to confirm the network connection.

I am partially successful in connecting new LG TV to Uverse wireless. I can not start the TV or change the volume with my Uverse remote. Everything else is fine.

after this  update for tv's i can not connect my tv to the wirless modem anymore, I have 2 of the same tv's which i updated 1 and didnt update the other,the one i have updated i cant connect to the wifi modem anymore or use my magic remote,Thanks for the great update

Hi amirakm I've got the same problem my tv wont connect to wifi and magic remote wont work anymore have you managed to get it fixed yet if so please let me know what you have done thks mark

Did you try to update your TV to latest version 🙂 of LG WebOS ? I am attaching the pic of latest LG webos here

If the TV update is the problem, How might one update to the latest webos if the TV can’t connect to the internet? Connection was fine last night.... dropped mid show. None of the tips found online are working. I’ve unplugged, reset routers, changed countries, time zones, changed everything back, called LG support... the TV sees the wireless network - it just won’t connect to it?!  My TV is only 2 years old.  Going crazy.

LG customer service is rubbish wouldn't have another lg given had same
problem as yourself there told me it's the wifi module replaced it myself
all of 30 secs to do still no better there want £165.00 and tv for upto 10
days to fix there are a joke

Hey guys I connected my TV with an ethernet cable. It's at least a solution to getting your TV working with your internet. Then you can check if your TV needs any webos updates. Mine doesn't have an update available and the wifi connection still doesn't work but maybe they'll release a patch in the next update that fixes that issue
