Move At&t Modem to different room

I have an Arris BGW 210 that I would like to move to a different room. I have an existing Cat6 cable already ran from near the jack to the room I want it in.

Is there a way that I can use an adapter to convert from the existing At&t wall jack to the cat 6 and then back down to the existing jack on the modem?

Here to help, @perkgun.

Is your current wall connector coaxial or Ethernet?

The best way will be either to extend the existing connection or replace it with a longer one from end to end using the same rated wire.
