Laggy internet/Ethernet port not working

Our Ethernet port on our gateway is not working. And our internet has been intermittently not working for the past few years.

Let's get your internet stable, @TheRealAF!

 

We have a few things you can try to resolve this for you:

  • Reset the gateway - Doing this can sometimes resolve the most common of internet issues such as the one you are experiencing
  • Try a different port on the gateway - This can show can that the one port is bad and if so, we will need to replace your gateway
  • Try a different ethernet cable - This can rule out that the ethernet cable itself isn't the cause

Doing the steps listed above can rule out some of the common causes such as loose connections and worn down cables.
