Is it safe to use ip passthrough?

Haven't been able to play online in GTA for 3 months, and I just discovered IP Passthrough which my router does allow.  I'm just worried if I enable it, will it mess up everyone else's connection, since I'm on the same router as everyone else in my family.  If anyone's curious as to what router I'm using it's an Arris NVG510 and my connectivity is through U-Verse (if that's even important)

Hello @Cassandranb23,

I definitely understand the concern with wanting to make sure the rest of the family will be able to use the connection after IP Passthrough has been set up. I would be more than happy to provide some information on this!

I was able to find a thread here in the Forums which goes in to detail about what is available with IP Passthrough. It is for a different model of router; however, the information is still relavent. You can click here to see more details. Based off the information, the IP Passthrough configuration still allows AT&T support groups to access the AT&T supported equipment while allowing end-users to connect third party equipment in a configuration they desire.

If you want to enable this feature, you can get instructions on how to Configure IP Passthrough on our website.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns! I hope you have a wonderful day!
