Intermittent Disconnects

Is that supposed to happen? I have the router/modem set up exactly as required, and it will randomly disconnect every 2 hours or so, sometimes sooner, it's getting a bit frustrating and needs to be fixed, any advice?

You could try a different power adapter, maybe the adapter is going bad. If the same thing happens perhaps the modem/router is going bad.

I'm thinking that he should try to get access to another modem and see if the problems persist.

I only have one power supply, and I returned the AT&T provided modem, so I guess if it does it at a frequent rate, I may need to buy a new one, then?

This is getting frustrating, it seems to like to do its resetting (of the connection) during the day, with occasional instances at night... Hmm...

Think you might be able to purchase this device at your local Best Buy?

This is to see if it's a problem with your Netgear gateway. If problems persist, it'll be easy to return the modem.
