I think my router had been hacked. What do I do?

I've noticed strange things ther past few days.  My computer screen comes on several times during the night, I watched as pages loaded, and my smart tv's volume turned up to max multiple times, but only on one evening.   I suspect someone had hacked my router, but, don't know thre first thing about doing it.  Help!

Let's see if we can help get your service back up to par, @Jodiraney.

We take these matters very seriously and we want to help you as soon as possible.

Here is more information on how to change your Wi-Fi name and password for your network. You can choose your gateway model from the drop down menu and follow the instructions listed.

You can also use our Smart Home Manager Tool to manage your network and change all of this information.

Let us know if this helps.

My windows computers are acting strange but my apple products work fine. I think my modem/gateway has been hacked.. Is it best to change my password?

Sure.  If you still have issues, open your own thread instead of hijacking someone’s old and obsolete one.

IMHO, the defaults on Att gateways are fine for security, unlike those entryway cameras from Walmart people are hacking.
