I need a AT Jack
How do I get a new AT Jack? I think that is what it is called. It is the wall plate that has two jacks, one green and one brown, that also has a transistor connected to the green jack. I need to replace the one I have. I know I could call a technician to come out and fix it but I am able to do the work and don't want to pay for it. From what I understand the transistor helps ATT troubleshoot issues without having to send out a truck so it may be in your best interest to help me replace it.
Thanks
Jeff

I don't want to speculate, so if you could attach photos of the front and inside of the wall jack I believe it would facilitate your receiving the information you want.

Thank you for the photos. I did a Google search for 'att broadband wall plate' and found some interesting posts on this forum. I can only provide an opinion at this point but I will bring to the attention of AT&T for their expert advice.
Let me tell you of my install first. I reside in a condo and subscribe to AT&T's U-verse internet service. For me, the telco circuit comes off the street to a pedestal, then to a building cable directly to my condo's wall jack. There is no NID but AT&T tests the circuit using the 5268ac in place of the NID.
It is my belief that you have or had a non-U-verse AT&T DSL solution which caused this wall plate to be installed. However, this is where what I feel could/should be done would not necessarily be AT&T's position. So I am bringing to the attention of AT&T: @ATTDSLCare @my thoughts

Thank you for your help. I live in a single family house and was doing some work that ripped the CAT5 cable out of the jack. I was able to solder the wires back on and re-connect everything. So far it works fine but I would like to fix it the right way. I am hoping I can get a replacement jack and would be willing to pay a nominal fee for it. I am just not willing to pay someone to replace it.

That looks like a DSL wall plate filter. I am not 100% sure we use those for uverse. Let me find some clarification on this.

The DSL line is connected into the green side, which is the side that is damaged. From there I am using the green cord to go into the router. We do not have a home phone so it isn't the phone filter plate to reduce noise on the phone line.

Correct, a filter is used to reduce the noise on the phone line which is caused by the lower DSL frequencies. If you dont have a home phone then there is no need for that wall plate. Just take it off and plug directly in.

Is there anyway I could talk to an installer? The DSL line coming into the house is the one that has a transistor of some type on it. This is not a phone filter jack, because the phone side isn't connected to the transistor. I have read it is used for testing and would like to have a replacement jack so I can install it the way AT&T did. There is an imprint on the backside, looks like a model # or something AIIKX11BIJACK. Would that help you identify what it is?

@jruetten Can you take a picture of that model number and such? I have searched our company intranet and I have searched the internet and neither one of them will pull that particular part number.

It's called an AT&T Branded Jack.
