I keep having to restart the modem around the same time every night it seems.
So around 10pm. Sometimes almost near 11pm my internet starts to get real slow and barely run at all. I use the built in troubleshooter because sometimes it helps but most of the time it acts like there is nothing wrong. The internet is technically connected but the speed is barely there at all. Pages or videos will not load. So I usually have to unplug my modem and plug it back in to get my connection back to normal. Yet I should NOT have to do this every night around the same time and I don't understand why this is happening.
I'm using a Wifi connection and am paying for high speeds. Yet half the time I feel like I'm not getting what I pay for and am getting very angry at this service.

Let's get to the bottom of why you are having to reset your gateway every night, @Mhagen36!
We understand the importance of having a stable and reliable connection for your home. Allow us to provide a resolution for you.
Since you have already stated that you reset the gateway, we recommend performing a factory reset of your gateway. This will clear any settings that may be causing the speed drops to occur. Keep in mind that any custom settings, such as net work names and passwords, can be changed again once everything is reset to factory settings.
These are the steps to take:
Also, when you experience the speed drops at night, do you notice any of the lights on the gateway start to flash or turn red? If so, this could point to an issue with the gateway itself. You can use the drop down menu on the aforementioned link to find your gateway and what the lights mean. With that, we also recommend viewing these tips we have on optimiziing your internet speed.
Let us know if these steps help! If not, we may need to bring you into a direct message to do more personalized tests on your service.
