how to connect a TL-WA850RE range extender to my ATT Motorola NVG510?

I've been trying to connect my new range extender to my router but it is not working. I am following the instructions that were given to me with the extender but im not sure if its compatible to my router or maybe im missing a step. please help! thank you!

The NVG510 is a 2.4Ghz b/g/n wireless only with (4) T100 Ethernet connections.

If your extender is looking for a 5Ghz wireless connection, there is not one....

Would need to replace the 510 with a dual band gateway, current models include 599, 5268 or 210-700.

IF not currently paying a monthly equipment fee for the 510, replacing the unit will incur a monthly fee of either $7 or $10 added to your account. If currently paying the fee, call and request a replacement be shipped to you.

would a 24AWG Snagless Cat 5e 350MHz UTP Ethernet Stranded Copper Patch cord/Molded Network lan Cable connect to the 510? the connectors would be RJ45
