How do I change my password?

My X decided to not expose the Wi-Fi name and password on the wireless box. He changed the password and can’t remember the password. So idk how to change it back because I can’t see what it is as it’s * symbol replacing the letters and numbers

We can help you revert your Wi-Fi router back to factory defaults, ThaGirl001

Here are the steps to help you Factory Reset your Wi-Fi gateway:

WARNINGThis will return all gateway settings to a default state. Any custom Wi-Fi passwords, Wi-Fi names, SSID, Static IP, and Port Forwarding rules will be lost.

  1. Press and hold the gateway Reset button for at least 15 seconds. If you let go before 10 seconds, the gateway will reboot, but it won’t reset.
  2. Wait until the gateway restarts and all the status lights are lit.
  3. See if the Broadband or Service status lights are solid green. If so, the reset worked.

Once the Factory reset is completed, you should have the default username and password on the sticker on the router.

You can find out more information about the factory reset process, by using the aforementioned forums article.

If there is anything else that we can do for you, please reach out back to us again.

Having ongoing intermitant no internet issues with 5268AC.  Sometimes some devices have no connection with Broadband and service both green.  Sometimes all devices no connection Broadband green and service red.  Modem has been replaced.  Only way to fix is to unplug modem to reboot.  GUI will not respond when internet connection is down.  Modem will respond to ping command, but get port 23 error when i try to reboot using telnet.  1. I would like this modem to keep its connection.  2. when it does lose connection it would be nice to reboot remotely on LAN.

Any ideas?
