Hotspot in a Toyota Sienna

We are having trouble turning on the wifi in our Sienna. It will either say “internet connection not available” or it will connect for a few minutes and then turn off. We haven’t had this problem before. We’ve tried connecting in several different areas to make sure we were not in an unavailable area. What can we do?

Hi Tia8690! There are several steps you can take to resolve your Toyota Sienna's inability to connect to Wi-Fi.

Here's how:

  • First, make sure that you consult your vehicle’s owner manual or manufacturer’s website for details.
  • Second, confirm that you have activated your account at the AT&T Connected Car portal. This is an important step to take since customers provision the base account. Once the terms and conditions (T&Cs) are accepted, customers can manage their account including:
    • Add to Mobile Share
    • Edit/update account details (username, password, etc.)
    • Purchase prepaid sessions
    • View usage
    • If T&Cs aren't accepted then it's possible to experience a brief period of connectivity for a few days. You will then be redirected back to the AT&T Portal to accept the T&Cs.
  • Third, if your experience persists despite the first two steps, open the Settings app on your mobile device.
    1. Go to Wi-Fi.
    2. Turn on Wi-Fi.
    3. Wait till your mobile scans all nearby WiFi connections.
    4. Tap the vehicle's hotspot.

Finally, if you still need assistnace, you will want to contact Toyota Support at 844.276.2822.

Let us know how this goes. We want to make sure that you're able to use AT&T Connected Car for your Toyaota Sienna.
