Hey, @Porky1. We'd be glad to help get your internet working properly.

  • What's your Internet Plan?

  • If you haven't already, we'd recommend running through our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool to see if it can detect any anomalies with your equipment, and if followed to completion it can help you schedule a tech if necessary

Let us know if this helps!

Let's look into that for you, @Porky1!

The reason your mobile Hotspot device keeps disconnecting is likely the signal strength. For optimal performance, make sure that you have a strong wireless signal (three [3] to four [4] bars). A moderate signal (one [1] to two [2] bars) may be sufficient. If you do not see green or blue bars, you may need to relocate the device to a different location in your home.

Let us know how this worked for you.

Thanks for letting us know, @Porky1

We're sorry to hear your signal is dropping once or twice a week but even with a yagi antenna some environmental factors can interfere with your signal like weather, terrain & changing foliage.

You can try repositioning your external antenna and even replace the SIM card and test the results. Give it a try, and please keep us updated with its performance. Take care!

Hi

so I try everything on getting the signal better , try moving the antenna, and the unit but the best signal I can get is -100 dbm , i usual get 3 sometime 4 light on the Signal but not steady on 4 light , I don’t know what we can do to improve the signal or different equipment , the modem is us in a gravel pit for phone and data . Located in a scale house, use for computers and WiFi , WiFi is then repeater on a tower to have signal over the area for data in other building , this dropping issue started about a month ago and now happen twice a week , I don’t know what next
