frequent dropped service

I have been having a problem where frequently (3-5 times per day) my television and internet services will completely disconnect at random. It will reset itself and come back online within a couple of minutes, but it has become a frustration.

I am wondering if there is anything that I can do with my current equipment or if I might need to exchange said equiment.

Many receiver problems can be fixed by restarting your receiver.

  • To do this, press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds. This takes 5-8 minutes and will impact any DVR recordings in progress.
  • If you have multiple receivers, reboot your wireless gateway by unplugging it from its power source. Wait a few minutes, then plug it back in.

If you’re having a specific problem and restarting the receiver doesn’t fix it, review out support article on troubleshooting your TV receiver and internet connections.
