Fix for Direct TV now causing my wireless service to degrade and drop -
Direct TV was continuing to drop its internet connection. The service tech added a splitter on my incoming internet line - now Direct TV works great - but even with 3 smart extenders - I now have no wifi in areas that had wifi before this. i have tried the "rescan" on my router per AT&T's trouble shooting guide but that seemed to only make it worse. I am reluctant to call because - 1. it always takes forever, 2. generally can't understand the person you get on the line & 3. they always try to sell me something - by the time I actually get to talk to a tech who speaks English, I'm fuming angry and then hear - they have to send a tech to my house! Anyway to shortcut this process and get a technician who understands both WiFi and Direct TV??? Frustrated!
