DSL

Does anyone else have to reboot dsl modem at least 4 times a day? I have tried to call and get information on line and all roads lead to drop ATT.

I've been having similar problems every day for the last 3 or 4 months. Websites would randomly time out when I try to access them and will not become available again until I restart the DSL modem. I've been on the phone with customer service a few times and was even told that a level 2 ticket was being opened, but L2 support never got back in touch with me.

Most recently, I had a CS agent tell me that level 2 got back in touch with her concerning my issue and told her that equipment was simply overloaded in the area. However, I don't think that's actually the case as this problem started suddenly a few months ago, and even when the problem I'm having occurs, I can still maintain full speed connections to other sites that I'm not having problems with. Any issues I have with connecting to specific sites go away if I VPN into my university's network, too.

I think that the level 2 techs, rather than diagnose the issue that I'm having, chose to blame it on overload and just opted to try to get me to sign up for fixed wireless, and my issues are otherwise being ignored. As there aren't any other decent options available in my area, I'd like to get this issue resolved. Is there anything that can be done to help?
