devices are being dropped all the time from the BGW210-700 router.

I have multiple devices including printers, laptops, phones etc. It appears that the BGW 210-700 keeps dropping devices and you have to reboot the device and in a lot of instances I have to reset the router to get it back online. My wife is getting very discouraged that I can't fix this. Do I have to replace it. If that is not an option, can I set it up as a passthrough and another router to it? it has become very frustrating for the family.

Let's make sure your devices can stay connected, @Alburkstx

Just to clarify, are your devices only dropping or is your internet connection intermittent? This will help us determine the root cause. It's possible that there's interference with the Wi-Fi connection

If you have a third party router that you'd like to set up, we recommend setting up IP Passthrough. This is a feature that's helpful when trying to set up third party networking. Before starting, we recommend factory resetting your gateway. This will revert it to the default state and remove any custom settings that could interfere with the setup.

Note: If you have changed your Wi-Fi network name (SSID), be sure to make note of it so you can re-apply it once you have completed the factory reset.

  1. Locate the Reset button on the rear of the gateway, located directly beside the power input.
  2. Press and hold the button for at least 10 seconds. If you release the button sooner than 10 seconds, the gateway will reboot, but will not reset.
  3. After releasing the button, wait until the device reboots and all the status lights on the gateway are lit. If the reboot was successful, the Broadband and Service status lights will be solid green.

If you don't have a third party router available, or this is still occuring after trying these steps, let us know! We can help replace the gateway if necessary!

This modem is the BGW210 standard AT&T install. No changes have been made. I reboot the modem multiple time in some weeks. I hold the red reset button down until the red flashing light turns to green. other times I unplug the modem and wait 10 seconds before plugging back in.  My assumption is that we have too many devices attached so it just randomly drops one to attach the other.

Probably nothing can be done based on the internet post I have been reading. I was curious if there is a replacement for this modem.
