Constant outages w/ Fixed Wireless Internet

So last Spring, every heavy rainfall (4+ in/hr) I would loose internet service for 24-48 hrs. it's like Rain fade but doesn't immediately reconnect. This happened at least 5 times until around August, and suddenly no more issues... Rock solid! No matter the weather. So I thought ATT fixed the local tower. Well Spring is back and it's doing it again. Same exact issue. ATT CS says only their service tech can put in a work order to check the tower. Ok, but the guy they send, the only guy in 50 miles that services FWI (Fixed Wireless internet) a Direct TV guy and he don't even really work for DTV much less ATT says it's not my equipment.... So how does this get fixed...? And what is it about this time of year heavy rain and a cell tower ?

Hey @davbrevelle,

Let us see what we can do to help!

We're sorry about the experience with the technician! We know how frustrating it can be to have intermittent internet. Due to the nature of Fixed Wireless Internet, it is possible that the weather may have caused damage to the nearest tower. Are you still having issues with your internet? Have you tried diagnosing the issue using our Troubleshoot & Resolve tool? If not, just sign in to get started!

We look forward to your response!

Yes, it is currently working and, Yes, i have used the “Troubleshoot &
Resolve” tool, but it doesn’t correct it when it’s down. I’m all but
certain it is an issue with the tower and that is what I’ve been trying to
explain to the CS rep when I call. But they keep saying a tech has to come
out first. Problem is..by the time a tech shows up, 2-3 days later, it’s
working again and there is really nothing to troubleshoot.

Hi @davbrevelle!

Awesome, glad to hear that your internet is up and running!  AT&T fixed wireless internet relies on an LTE signal from the cell tower, therefore many things can affect the availability and the quality of your service.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you need any thing else in the future. We're always here! Thank you for choosing AT&T!

Well actually it rained today...so, of course the internet is down AGAIN.

Funny you should mention LTE. The same tower that allows my cell phone data to respond to this email is fine. I am also aware, as I've done my research, that the individual tower modules used for cellular phone transmission are not the same as the ones used for Fixed Wireless Internet. So one is working ....the other is not.
PLEASE COME FIX THIS TOWER!!!!

Internet went down early Saturday morning. Phone call to tech support verified an area outage and would not be fixed at the earliest sometime Monday.  Have had this service right at one year with this being the 1st area outage. I am deeply concerned about the inability to address the outage during the weekend. This is a strong signal  that there is very poor management at AT&T Fixed Wireless by not having either/both spare parts or weekend personnel available.

Bottom line is that AT&T  knows they are the real only internet option in rural areas and they act like it.  Satellite service is not a viable option in the US (another subject on how totally and completely horrible all satellite companies really are).
