Connecting Roku Stick to your WiFi
Connecting Roku Stick to your WiFi
Make sure you have your WiFi information.
If you do not have it, you can find it here.
- Go to Settings > Network > Wireless > Set up new wireless connection.
- Locate your network from the list of available networks.
- Enter your password.
- Three green check marks mean a successful connection. If you do not, check out the section below.
Trouble Connecting
- Restart your Roku Stick and router.
- Make sure there are no devices around that can cause interference. The TV could be causing interference, and you can get a free HDMI extender by filling out your information here.
- Troubleshoot your wireless connection.
- You may need to change the network name and network password on your wireless network. Make sure the network name and password or less than 10 characters long with no special characters. You may even want to change the wireless security for testing purposes.
Note: Changing these settings will cause all your other wireless devices to become disconnected, and they will have to be configured with the new settings. - Disable network pings. The Roku has a secret menu. To access it on your Roku remote would press the following very quickly:
- Home Button x 5
- FastForward x 1
- Play x 1
- Rewind x 1
- Play x 1
- FastFoward x 1
- Go to the option to disable network pings, and then try connecting again.

Roku support tells me to check with you, to see if you changed our wireless router password. We added a second Roku and now neither will connect. I have rebooted and reentered the password but no luck. Our phones and computer are all connecting with no problem.Does their advice have any credibility?

My Roku 3 wouldn’t connect to my wireless network after upgrading to AT&T Fiber. I purchased a new roku premiere player and it still won’t connect. Any ideas/suggestions?
