Connecting Nintendo DS to WiFi

 

  1. From the HOME menu, tap on the System Settings Icon.

  2. Tap "Internet Settings."

  4. Tap the "New Connection" option.

  5. Tap "Manual Setup" when the prompt asks if you would like help with the Internet connection setup.

  6. Tap "Search for an Access Point."

  7. Once the search has completed, locate and tap the name of your wireless access point.

  8. When prompted, use the keyboard that appears on the lower screen to enter your security key and tap "OK" when finished. If you are not prompted to enter a security key, skip to the next step.

  9. Tap "OK" to save your settings.

  10. Tap "OK" again to begin a connection test.

 

Trouble Connecting

  • Make sure the wireless is enabled (the light will be yellow on your 3DS).
  • Restart your Nintendo 3DS and router.
  • Make sure there are no devices around that can cause interference.
  • Troubleshoot your wireless connection.
  • Move closer to your router.
  • You may need to change the network name and network password on your wireless network. Make sure the network name and password or less than 10 characters long with no special characters. You may even want to change the wireless security for testing purposes.
    Note: Changing these settings will cause all your other wireless devices to become disconnected, and they will have to be configured with the new settings.

When I try to connect 3ds it asks for a WEP key.  I read that it should be on the modem but I can't locate it.i am not able to get to the wifi password screen
