Charged for Returned Equipment
Hello,
I have been very frustrated. I cancelled services in December and turned in equipment through UPS the day before my services were canceled. UPS gave me a receipt and I held on to it for quite some time. In May, I discarded that receipt. Now, I have received a call from a debt collector stating I owe AT&T money for not returning my equipment. What a coincidence, that they waited 7 months to tell me, and that AT&T NEVER contacted me via email, mail, or phone to state my charge. I had to find out from the debt collector!!! I have called numerous times and AT&T refuses to help. They state they will "make note" and "start an investigation" and nothing is done!
I am looking to file complaints with FCC, BBB, and anything else I can because AT&T IS RUINING MY CREDIT FOR NO REASON. Has anyone else had problems with this and how they fixed it? Has anyone made formal complaints?

Hi @beccam26,
We regret to hear you are receiving calls regarding a previous device. I can understand what you are going through. I would be happy to look further in this concern with you.
I do need a little more information from you so I can take a closer look into this. Please send me a private message to @ATTCares. Please include your full name, mobile or account number, and any additional information you have.
I look forward to working with you to get this resolved. Have a great day!
