Changing Wi-Fi name

I have a new set-up.  I logged in using the name and password on the BGW210 gateway, then changed the name and password using the app.

however, the old name still appears on Settings on my devices and not the new name.  Online support is no help

To clarify, the new name DOES appear in the app, just not on any devices in ‘settings’

We can help you get your devices to recognize the new Wi-Fi name, rcmwpsg.

 

The best place to start is with restarting the gateway. This will refresh the connection and should help the devices show the new network name.

 

Just unplug the power connection behind the gateway for ~15 seconds, plug it back in, and wait for the Broadband light to turn green. We also recommend restarting the devices.

Since restarting didn't work, rcmwpsg, go ahead and factory reset the gateway.

 

Locate the small red button and pinhole on the lower rear of the gateway and depress for ~15 seconds. This will undo the changes you made, so you'll have to redo the process of changing the Wi-Fi name.

Since the factory reset did not work, @rcmwpsg, you may need to have your router replaced.
