Hey there @willsp282012!

Let's see if we can't help you obtain service for your Hotspot router. We advise that if you haven't already done so, first, make sure your device is already unlocked from your previous network provider in order that it may be used with another provider of your choice.

Second, you'll want to visit AT&T Fixed Wireless Internet to check if our service is available in your area. If so, you may proceed to follow the instructions to create an account, obtain a SIM card appropriate for your device (find one at your nearest AT&T Store), and activate your device in order to start enjoying service.

We hope this info helps.

Hello @willsp282012!

We apologize about your customer service experience. The AT&T Wireless Internet device uses the AT&T cellular network to provide phone service to your cordless or corded home phone(s) and Internet access to your computer and Wi-Fi enabled devices.

When connecting your device, be sure to place it

  • Where you have a strong signal from a cell tower, typically near a window or outer wall. Signal strength may vary in different parts of your home.
  • Near an electrical wall outlet.
  • In the general area where you’ll be using your home phone, computer, or Wi-Fi enabled devices.

You're welcome to check out the reviews, specs, and Q&A about your device.

We hope you enjoy the rest of your day.
