Cannot access remote desktop connection after the targeting device is rebooted

I am trying to set up a remote desktop (Windows 10 RDP) between two laptops in my home wifi network.

My problem:

When accessing PC2 from PC1 (or PC1 from PC2), the connection will be down when I reboot PC2 (or PC1) remotely. It seems PC2 cannot automatically port itself after the reboot.

Made:

Router: ATT BGW210-700

PC1: MSI GE 60

PC2: Microsoft Surface Pro 4

What I have tried:

1. I customized port forwarding configuration in tab Firewall - NAT/Gaming, as follows:

Name Global Port Range Protocol Host Port Edit Delete

RDT surface 3390 - 3390 TCP/UDP 3390
RDT msi 3389 - 3389 TCP/UDP 3389

2. I enabled IP passthrough

Allocation ModeDefault Server Internal AddressPassthrough ModePassthrough Fixed MAC AddressPassthrough DHCP Lease

 Off Default Server Passthrough

e.g. 192.0.2.1

 DHCPS-dynamic DHCPS-fixed Manual

**************************** (deleted mac address)
e.g. 00:01:02:03:04:05

Days: Hours: Minutes: Seconds

e.g. 00:00:10:00

Hi There @magno0406,

Thank you so much for posting. We can help you here.

What we suggest needs to be done is a factory reset of the Arris router and start from scratch. Sometimes resetting up the port forwarding and the IP-Passthrough can make a difference.

Try that and let us know.
