ATT BMG 210 Router - South Florida

I am a Internet only U VERSE customer in South Florida.

My ATT owned router is the ever ubiquitous BMG 210.

Works fine.

Does anyone know the DNS settings to permanently change to Cloudflare?

My on line research shows ATT actively blocking any Cloudflare connections.

Hit me with your comments.

You’ll have make the DNS override change on the device you’re using.  You cannot change default DNS in gateway.

Oh, and it’s the BGW210.

It is my understanding (I am non-technical) that the gateway determines your final DNS connection. If my device says Cloudflare and my ATT router says another type of DNS connection , the router wins every time, correct?

I am a Windows 11 user. Non gamer. I have a DELL PC workstation.

We're here to assist with your DNS inquiry, @usatechexec!

Just as our ACE @gr8sho mentioned, you can not change the default DNS in our equipment.

However, if you do wish to have custom DNS settings, you will need to purchase a third party router. As to which one to buy, if you choose to go that route, will be completely up to you and your needs. Doing this will require you to enable IP Passthrough on your BGW210. If you do not enable IP Passthrough, you will experience slow to no connection.

Let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns!
