Arris NVG589 Port 22 forwarding results in error
My U-Verse service uses an Arris NVG589 modem with firmware version 9.2.2h3d14. I am trying to forward port 22 for secure shell (ssh) to a Unix machine and the modem is giving me the following error:
(22) port range conflicts with reserved port (22)
I am using the predefined profile on the modem. So what is running on port 22? I tried to connect to the modem using port 22 and nothing. Also, when I try for forward port 80, tells me the following: Warning: The change you are attempting to make may cause AT&T U-verse TV to stop working properly. Now what aspect of the service requires an incoming connection on port 80 from the outside world?
