Apple products question marks on motorola rg

I have been looking everywhere for a fix for this and cant find a solid resolution. I have recently switched from att dsl to uverse. They sent me a motorola rg unit. Problem im having is on my ipad and iphone i am continuously getting question marks on images and web pages. This never happened with dsl, but is happening all the time with the uverse....and no, it is not my ipad as att continues to tell me. My ipad works perfect on 3g. I have tried using another router, but is still giving me question marks...it has to be a setting in the rg unit and it has to be a simple fix. If anyone has the solution out there, i would greatly appreciate any input.

I have finaly found the solution in an old post from 2009. You need to change the DNS in the device. Something to do with the failure of the DNS in the RG. If you have a ipad/iphone, click on blue arrow next to the uverse router in settings. This will bring up where you can edit the DNS. It will be set to 192.168.1.254. Just delete and type in 68.94.156.1 or 68.94.157.1 and then just back out. All those question marks will be gone! I have spent hours on the phone with uverse tech and apple tech with no success...disappointing it was so simple and they didnt know so i am going to try to let everyone know.

My wife's iPad has a problem.....but we always assumed it had to do with the device's inability to display any videos....or images, etc. that involve use of Adobe Flash.  It happens with some E-mails and once in a while she cannot see information and/or images on a web site.  Either the system will just sit there endlessly trying to bring it up or she'll get a message telling her that the iPad cannot display the material in that format.  I never have these problems on any PC in the house so we always assumed it was the fault of the iPad and just something she'd have to live with.  I have no way of knowing if it would have been different with ordinary DSL because she didn't have the iPad way back then.

I have no answers.  Perhaps someone else will.

You can also use 8.8.8.8. and Googles other DNS which I do not have in front of me along with Open DNS.
