Yahoo mail login redirects me to forgot my user ID or Password

Hello, I have been trying to login to my @sbcglobal email account through the yahoo page, the mobile app and it redirects me everytime like I have forgotten the password and or username scree. I only can see my email when I login through the ATT webpage which does not allow me to use the yahoo app either on my phone or my laptop because it keeps redirecting me to that. I have been able to reset my password to and I can also access the ATT account to.

Hi @eagudino1983,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention! I am sorry to hear you are having issues accessing your Email. I would love to help!

I was able to locate a great resource article on Yahoo Merged E-mail Accounts Getting Unmerged. This will have helpful steps to login into your email account. Per the article if you are getting redirected to Yahoo site, clear your cache and cookies or try using a different browser. Make sure you are logging into the right site. Go to att.net and click on the mail icon at the top-right.

Please let me know how this goes!

I am having a similar problem... I am being redirected from yahoo to the att forgot password site everytime I try to sign in unless I'm going to the att.net site. Is there a way of or an app that I can use to have mobile access to my emails or can I re-merge back with yahoo...I mean I never requested to be separated. I feel like I'm losing access to this email that I've had for over  20 years... I can't contact anyone...yahoo doesn't  have customer or tech support, att won't help bc they say it's a yahoo login problem...meanwhile it is the customer who is left alone,in the dark, vulnerable and frustrated

I have the exact same problem.  I haven't been able to access my email for almost 2 weeks.  Everything I have and everyone I know is connected to this email address.  I've berbon the phone with a representative from AT&T almost every day.  Still no solution.  They keep passing the buck.  Does anyone have a solution???  Please help!

This started for me today!

Each of my apps that interface with yahoo mail on iOS, Windows, etc. state my password is incorrect, After updating it via the ATT site...I can only get in to my Yahoo mail via a browser by logging in to AT&T,

This needs to be resolved ASAP.

Please provide an update or tell us how to escalate.

BTW, I have cleared cache on each device, etc. etc.

Something very similar happened to me today. I have several SBCGlobal email sub-accounts, all being hosted by the Yahoo email service. Yesterday, I was able to access them from my computer (iMac, OS X Yosemite, Safari 10.1.2). Look at one account OK, click on the User Name icon near top right to pick the other account to look at. All worked fine on 4/22/2019.

Today, 4/23/2019 I can only log into one of the emails, and though it knows the name of the other email account, when I click to view email, it takes me to an ATT.NET login page, which claims that my email or password combination is wrong and I must choose the Forgot Email or Forgot Password link.

YET I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN THEM, and NOT CHANGED them. And I am able to access both from my mobile device.

So why does it decide that the desktop computer web browser can no longer access the other sub-account email any more?

Has anyone received any answers on this? I spent hours on the phone tonight with AT&T they said they would reset my password and acknowledged this is an issue, but resetting the password did not help 😞 I am now waiting for a call from them.

Hi joddo, I was having the same problem, correction. I am still having the same problem, but I was able to make it work by using a different browser. I doesn't work for me using Google Chrome, but id does work for me using Microsoft Edge. I don't know if the initial suggestion made here works, I may try it later, regardless, You should a different browser, one different from the one you are using now. If Microsoft Edge doesn't work for you, then download Firefox and try to log on with it. Hopefully something works for you. That's all I got.

I cannot access my att.net email. It directs me to att.net site. Upon entering my ID & PW, I am directed to the change pw page. I can change the ATT pw, but I still cannot access my att.net email. Rather, the new password is required to access my Yahoo email.

My ATT & Yahoo accounts are two distinct email accounts. How to I access my Att account, and how do I prevent ATT from requiring my ATT PW to login into my Yahoo account?

(P.S. Way to go, ATT. It looks like you FUBARed this one, royally.)
