Won't stay logged in for 2 weeks, even though I check the box. Have to log in every day

This happened a while back and now it's happening again.  Before it would log you out every few minutes or so.  That got corrected.


After the latest update of Windows, now it logs you out of email every time you shut off your computer, even though I've checked keep me logged in for 2 weeks.


I use Google Chrome and I know the latest update is pushing the "new" Microsoft Edge, but I don't want to use that.   What is the problem and how to fix it?   I've tried clearing my cookies.   That worked for a day because I had to sign back into everything then anyway.


What is the problem with the signing in and staying signed in?   Works fine on the phone, but not on the computer.

Due to new security measures put in place, you may need to constantly sign into your email account. You can also create a secure mail key and learn why you’ll need one to access your AT&T email from a desktop program or email app without Open Authentication.
