sbcglobal e-mail not working

I have long held an sbcglobal.net e-mail address and accessed it through Yahoo. Now, whenever I try to check my e-mail, I am presented with the a request to sign in to att.net (which I never had to do before), and when I log in with my normal credentials, I receive the following error message:

 

Welcome to att.net!
We noticed that you logged in to att.net with an AT&T Access ID that does not have an email address associated with it. If you have an AT&T email address (i.e. johnsmith@att.net or johnsmith@bellsouth.net), please use this when you log in to att.net.

Or, you may link your email to your AT&T Access ID by going to myAT&T. This would allow you, in the future, to use either your full email address or just your AT&T Access ID (i.e. johnsmith) when you log in to att.net.

 

So I followed the link to link my e-mail address to my AT&T Access ID, but when I do that it tells me that the my e-mail address is already linked to my AT&T Access ID (which is not surprising, because it always has been).

 

After I have logged in to att.com (as part of the previous process), if I go to log in to my e-mail through yahoo.com again, I am now presented with a different error message:

 

Error details

FBTSML215E The name identifier policy in the authentication request could not be met by this identity provider.

 

Please help.

If you are having trouble signing in, try clearing the cache and cookies on your browser. Also, you can try testing with a different browser.
