Password for subaccount

I have several subaccounts under my main account (family members). I can't remember the password for 1 subaccount (nor can the actual user). My family member can access email on his mobile device but not on laptop as he can't remember the password. When I try to change the password via laptop I get the security questions. I can't remember the answer I chose for 1 of them and apparently they aren't the same questions as under my main account (so I can't even change the questions). Any advice on how to change a password when you don't even know the security question answers? And why don't the main account security questions apply to all subaccounts??

Hi @loubrown65, we are delighted to help with passwords for your subaccounts.

Learn more about how to manage sub-accounts

  • A subaccount is a Member ID email address set up under the account owner’s primary Member ID.
  • Only the account owner can create and manage subaccounts.
  • For example, the account owner would have a primary Member ID email and their spouse or children would have subaccount Member ID emails.

Edit a subaccount

  1. Go to Profile > Account users.
  2. If you have more than one account, select the account you want to manage from the dropdown at the top.
  3. Select Manage subaccount users.
  4. Next to the desired subaccount, select Edit.
  5. Update the information you would like to change and select Save Changes.

Hope this helps!

Hello Lafayette, thank you for the information. I did extensive research on this subject and went through several different approaches - including the one you offered - to rectify the situation. Sadly, none have as of yet, which is why I made the post. For example, when I try to edit the information for the desired subaccount, in this case, change the password, it requires me to first input the current password, which I don't know. When I select "forgot password" from the initial login screen it requires me to answer my security questions. I can't remember the answer to one of the questions (and for the life of me I don't know why I picked that question to begin with - sigh).
