My AT&T email has suddenly ceased working
This morning, I was successfully sending and receiving emails through my AT&T account. I suddenly now cannot open a single email. When I try a POP client, it cannot download any new emails. I have been on the phone with AT&T and get the very typical and expected AT&T shoulder shrug.
Why has my email stopped working? How do I fix it?

I have this same problem and it started about 9:15 - what is AT&T doing to fix this.

I spent 3 hours on the phone, first with AppleCare and then with 3 different tech supporters at AT&T. None could answer the question, what should all my mail settings be? Two of the AT&T people had such heavy accents I had to ask them to repeat over and over. The Apple Care fellow helped me get my email back, and the first AT&T guy restored my internet, but my setups still need help. It's my own fault for answering a phishing email, but still...
Separately, another phish came from someone named Sergeant Laura [edited for privacy-please do not post personal or unique information such as but not limited to full names, employee ID numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, etc.], who wants a private email. Get rid of her, quick! I hope my mail isn't still susceptible to these bogus messages. I think being on this forum was part of the problem, so I'm going to discontinue my participation.
