Locked Out of Email

I have been locked out of my email for almost a week.  My password will not be accepted.  I cannot change it because the answers to my security questions also will not be accepted.  This information was written down in a secure spot so I know the information was entered correctly.  I am so angry.  I am now waiting for a new password to arrive by US MAIL!!!!!!! I will be cancelling my account when I finally get in and can clear it out.  I have talked to at least 6 people, none of whom can help or explain why on one random morning none of my information will be accepted.  Thoughts?

I use charter.net as my internet service.  I still have a bellsouth.net email address.  I was able to access my email through yahoo.net.  I have been locked out.  I changed my password and it said it was accepted.  When I try to log into yahoo.net the password will not work.  I cannot contact AT&T as I don't have an account with them anymore.  How do I get my password to be accepted and get into my bellsouth.net email?
