I can't sign in to my att.net account

i go to the att.net website.  click sign in and get directed to an error page.  I can't access me att.net email account via a web browser anymore.  I can only send and receive via my Samsung email app on my phone.

 

I get you uncoupled from yahoo, but how to do I get web browser access to my email account?

Hello @sewilder,


It is important to receive emails as it’s one of the main communication points we have within the phones.  There are some steps you are able to try.  I’ll be glad to provide them for you! 


You can check out our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool.  Here, you choose Internet tab > Email Setup and Repair.  Here, you can follow a troubleshooting flow to determine the best resolution for your email!  If the issue is with the browser, I do recommend attempting the sign in through another browser if available. 


Please visit here for accessing email on att.net as well as this for further instructions.  You can also troubleshoot accessing email.  If you are getting any Email errors, please visit hereThis will describe using email.

Trying a different browser did not work.  I spoke with someone for 20 minutes and they could not help.  This is the second time in the past few months I had the representative on the phone for at least 20 minutes and they could not solve my problem.  I had them  make the changes for me and they tried to charge me $5.00 for doing this work.

Same problem here.

Found one thread that suggested there is an ATT program that compares email accounts to telephone service accounts.

If no payments are found for telephone account, email is disabled.

I only have DSL not telephone service with ATT, perhaps that is issue.

 

Many threads discussing this issue but none provide direct link or contact info for quick resolution

FireFox returns this when attempting to login to email account using browser:

 

Not Found on Accelerator


Description: Your request on the specified host was not found. Check the location and try again.

 

 

 

IE11 returns this

 

The webpage cannot be found
 HTTP 404
 
 Most likely causes:
  • There might be a typing error in the address.
  • If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date.

So after calls to three different AT&T support lines and better than an hour and a half cumulative time, I am told there is a known issue with Yahoo and there is an existing trouble ticket that Yahoo is working.

 

Seems unlikely to me but oh well.

 

Also was told they will advise when resolved
