I can't access sbcglobal.net email after Yahoo separation.

Yesterday I noticed that my Yahoo email account had fully separated from my sbcglobal.net email account. Now I can't access my sbcglobal.net account. When I go to the AT&T web page and try to log into my email, (using my sbcglobal.net address and password) it automatically redirects me back to my Yahoo email, but I can no longer access my sbcglobal.net email at my Yahoo email anymore. Is there a web page that can access sbcglobal.net email that doesn't automatically redirect me back to Yahoo?

Hi @megaship,

att_yahoo_sign_in.pngTo access your email, you  use the yahoo portal as long as you include  your @sbcglobal.net email. I signed into my email via www.att.net homepage. Once you select the mail icon, you are routed to a sign in page. The screenshot is what I saw and  signed in without issue.

Hope this this.

Hi loudog504,

Try our new page, start.att.net, and sign in there and see if your email access is available there. This is our new website following the end of the AT&T Yahoo email partnership that ended back earlier in the Summer 2017.

Access your email much the same as you have done or do on Yahoo at start.att.net and let us know if that helps resolve your issue.

Sincerely,

I am having the exact same problem.  I just tried to follow the instructions in your reply - went to start.att.net and clicked the mail icon.  It shows I am signed in under my sbcglobal.net email but it still redirected to my Yahoo mail.

Thanks for the help. One thing that was tripping me up was that, apparently, my Chrome browser was the one that was automatically re-directing me to the Yahoo email site when I clicked on the mail icon on the AT&T page. When I used Microsoft Edge, I didn't have that problem and was able to access my sbcglobal.net email through the AT&T page. So I cleared my browsing history, cookies, ect in Chrome and that solved the problem in Chrome.

Try clearing your browser history, cookies, ect. In my case, the Chrome browser was the one that was automatically re-directing me to the Yahoo email page. When I used Microsoft Edge, I was able to access my sbcglobal.net email account. (Because I really never used Edge that much) Be advised, your email archive stays with Yahoo. Also, when you get to your sbcglobal.net account, it still looks a little like the Yahoo site. It should have the last few days of emails that were sent to your sbcglobal.net account, but nothing else. It will give you the option to import your Yahoo contact list, but that's all you can transfer over.

One weird thing I just noticed: If I open a tab in Chrome and log onto Yahoo email (at the Yahoo site) and then open a second tab and log into my sbcglobal.net (at the AT&T site) the first tab will automatically change over to the sbcglobal.net email account. This also happens the other way around. It's almost like they're still linked in some way and only want you to access one account at a time.

Thank you for the tip, and glad you were able to get yours to work.  I was using Chrome as well.  I cleared my browsing history, cookies, etc. in Chrome and IE.  Chrome still redirected to Yahoo mail, but it worked in IE, so I can at least access my sbcglobal mail there for now.  I'll try Chrome again later to see if works.

Has anyone been able to log into their yahoo account after the seperation? Mine has not allowed me. Says there has been suspicious activity. My account is so old it didn't require a validation email and now I'm locked out with no way to get into my account...

I can access sbcglobal email after the Yahoo transition on Dec 20... but ONLY through a web mail browser.  Outlook 2013 can no longer send messages.  AT&T has changed POP3 server settings but not published how to fix this.  I am using POP settings with the same settings for the past 5-10 years:

Incoming mail server is inbound.att.net.  Outgoing Mail server is outbound.att.net.  DOES THE OUTGOING SERVER NEED TO CHANGE?  I do NOT have the check box checked for SPA.

Incoming POP3 server is 995 (with check box for SSL)

Outgoing server (SMTP) is 465 (with selection for SSL)

This answer should be easy but thanks to AT&T, this has become hard.  AT&T offered me FEE BASED SUPPORT.  This is RIDICULOUS.  Any help would be appreciated.

No, this is not helpful and does not resolve the problem with sbcglobal.net email. The mail link off start.att.net takes me to the yahoo email page. My sbcglobal.net email is not found there, I have tested it. What is the smtp/imap server information for sbcglobal.net email, please? Or did that account simply disappear?

Going to start.att.net did not completely resolve the problem for me.  When I click on "MAIL" at the home page there I now get directed to https://mail.yahoo.com/?.partner=sbc.  This gets me to my sbcglobal.net inbox, but I am concerned about the mail.yahoo.com link.  I thought that you were separated??

I don't think that they are totally separated, yet. I changed my Yahoo email password, but when I go to the AT&T page I can still access both my SBCglobal.net email and my Yahoo email with the same old password.

Solution Does not work. Yahoo emails and folders inaccessible. Att tells me that it is a divorce and it’s a yahoo issue. Yahoo tells me att has a contractual obligation. This is truly an issue. If

Popi, After you log in, check the top right corner of your screen.  On mine, I see an option for Home, then my name.  When I hover over my name, I can then toggle between the SBC and Yahoo accounts.
I also had a problem that logging in to AT&T sent me the Yahoo account no matter what browser I used.  Took me a bit to find this, but I can see all my old emails in the Yahoo account.

Now it’s all messed up again. I went to my Yahoo email account just now and my inbox doesn’t have anything older than today’s mail. That’s not good.
