how to cancel sbcglobal.net account
I cancelled my AT&T UVerse account several months ago, but I still have my sbcglobal.net email address. I would like to cancel this email account. How can I do that? I cannot seem to get anywhere on the awful, unhelpful AT&T phone line, as it asks for an account number (which I no longer have). I have also tried to cancel this account through Yahoo but have been unsuccessful. So it seems it is back in AT&T's court.

I'm trying to delete an account also. The link ATTHelp gives says "You can delete a free AT&T email account that’s never been associated with a paid AT&T service." But what if the account HAS been associated with a paid service, as mine has? Is that possible and if so how? And if not why not?

Hi @bbramhall, we'll be happy to help with getting your email account deleted.
The article above is also valid for email accounts associated with paid service.
There is one extra caveat, it must be 30-60 days since a paid AT&T service has been canceled or disconnected.
If that timeframe has passed, you should be able to delete the account using the steps previously posted.
If it's been over 61 days and the steps don't work, the article has a contact us link to get you in touch with our care team who can help at that point.
Please feel free to reach out if there are any further questions.
