error for snet.net address: "Failed to process account credentials"

As of 3/25/21 I can no longer "send as" my snet.net address in gmail. I have been able to send as my snet.net address in gmail for years and have not changed my password and my account settings are correct. Gmail tries to send those emails for 48 hrs and notifies me of the delay and then failure, saying "failed to process account credentials."

My snet.net email account is my main address.  I import my snet.net mail into my gmail account using gmailify. My incoming snet.net mail still works properly.

The number of times I have to deal with snet.net server problems over the years is maddening.  Whenever there's a problem it always seems to be on the snet.net server side.  Please, please fix this.

1) I will move your post from the Digital Life home security forum to Internet / E-mail

2) I will tell you that this is not support, you should not count on anyone from AT&T doing anything at all with respect to your post here.

3) Other users in the community may make suggestions.

4) A member of the AT&T Support staff may see your post and reply.  Maybe.

5) I will add that AT&T expects users to use the Yahoo-provided e-mail interface to read their mail.  While the infrastructure is provided for e-mail clients, it seems to be where they train new network engineers for taking care of stuff they think is important.

Thank you.

When you mention the yahoo provided email interface, do you mean they are not particularly interested in whether I can import my legacy email into another email client?

I encounter frequent server problems associated with my snet.net legacy address.

Yes, I mean that they provide a webmail interface via yahoo (currently.com) and provide some level of support for that. But using e-mail clients such as Outlook, Thunderbird, Windows Mail, Apple Mail, etc. is not something they want to spend time training their support staff to deal with; so they don't.  There are help articles.  But actually recognizing an issue with their mail servers takes more luck than process.

Let's get your email working again, @snet_net_user!

Have you  tried setting up a secure mail key yet?

This may be necessary to access your snet.net address, due to increased security measures.

Looking forward to getting this resolved!

Hi - after the message from Raiden, AT&T Community Specialist, I was able to "send as" from my snet.net address again, without setting up a secure mail key.  Whatever was done on the AT&T side worked.  THANK YOU!!
